Sales and Marketing Officer
Job Purpose:
The Sales and Marketing Officer will oversee and drive OYDC’s sales by designing and implementing targeted marketing strategies. He/she will drive sales by designing and implementing targeted marketing strategies.

Responsibilities
• Will be responsible for maintaining customer relationships, tracking sales data and creating performance reports.
• Work with various departments to generate an annual marketing plan.
• Planning and execution of social media promotional campaigns to boost followers’ engagements.
• Plan, prepare and manage the publication and distribution of publicity materials
• Manage all branding needs of the organization
• Provide marketing content for use in digital platforms and traditional media
• Negotiating contracts and drafting Memorandums of Understanding with potential clients
• Coordinate with outside agencies for the creation of quality marketing materials
• To Identify areas for improvement in products offering, marketing tactics/strategy and promotional activities.
• Formulate and implement marketing strategies
• Research and analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and other information that affects marketing strategies
• Maintains the department’s budget and ensures all marketing activities are cost-effective
• Work closely with the communications officer in information dissemination to key stakeholders
• Organize events and exhibitions for the promotion of products and capturing of potential markets
• Prepare monthly and quarterly departmental reports
• Identify new market segments and strategize how to enter to serve them profitably
• Identify potential sponsors, negotiate and secure sponsorships for sports teams and events
• Track sales data to ensure the company meets sales quotas.
• Create and present sales performance reports.
• Any other duties as assigned by the CEO/or Senior Management

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
• Must have at least 2-3 years of Sales and Marketing in the service sector
• Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM)
• Proven work experience as a sales and marketing executive.
• Knowledge of modern marketing techniques.
• High-level communication and networking skills.
• A passion for sales.
• Understanding of commercial trends and marketing strategies.
• Good project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure
