JOB DETAILS:
The Authority is seeking highly motivated, suitably qualified and experienced Zambian nationalsto fill the following vacant position on fixed term employment contract: .
 Job Responsibilities:
Under the Supervision of the Project Manager – Kariba Dam Rehabilitation Project, the Stakeholder Relations Officer will carry out the following KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: –
• Recommending, interpreting and providing guidance on stakeholder relations policies and social policies for Authority projects in line with corporate objectives.
• Implementing the projects social programs including the Social Management Plan (SMP), Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) and the Gender Based Violence (GBV) Action Plan.
• Attending to stakeholder queries on Authority business, analyze and evaluate issues arising and advising Management on actions to be taken in order to establish good corporate image.
• Distributing relevant corporate promotional materials to stakeholders as appropriate for business promotion.
• Co-ordinating all projects related ceremonial functions for the Authority.
• Recommending appropriate social and communication strategies during crisis situations
• Development, coordination and implementation of communications, community relations, advocacy and stakeholder relations programs and strategic plans.
• Working with internal and external stakeholders and partners to lead and develop tactical plans to deliver stakeholder engagement strategies designed to inform the public about the projects.
• Develop and implement strategic communication policies, protocols and plans in collaboration with project partners.
• Defining the formal and informal stakeholder liaison channels.
• Leading the planning, layout and publication of activity reports in respect of Authority projects and ensure the timing for their release reflects the project’s best interest.
• Managing community relations by ensuring project information is available locally to facilitate public awareness.
• Supporting the development of project procedures that assist in meeting social objectives.
• Conducting training and awareness on SMP, GRM and GBV to enhancing compliance
• with international practices (legal and other requirements) relating to social development.
• Conducting social engagements in the context of sustainable development.
• Facilitating the reception and redressing of project related grievances.

 Job Qualifications:
• Grade 12 Certificate with 5 ‘O’ levels of credits or better
• A degree in Social Science or any other related field.
• Relevant professional qualifications in Gender Studies /GBV
• A qualification in Strategic Management will be an added advantage
• Membership of a Professional Body
• Five (5) years of relevant experience with GBV/ GRM activities
