JOB DETAILS:
(a) JOB PURPOSE
To ensure implementation of effective Maintenance of the Distribution system

(b) QUALIFICATIONS
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Degree in Electrical Engineer, from a reputable learning institution.
• Member of EIZ
• Senior Authorized Person (SAP)

(c) EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENT
• Minimum of 5 years work experience
• Should have worked in a Maintenance environment.
• Should be an expert in data analysis in Microsoft applications.
• A team leader.

(d) JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensure timely preparation and implementation of the Distribution System maintenance schedules in order to provide clients with reliable and good quality electricity.
• Ensure timely procurement of required materials and tools for optimum delivery of service and prevent material wastage by carrying out regular audits on all materials booked out for use.
• Carry out Distribution System equipment testing and commissioning in liaison with other Departments.
• In liaison with MMS Planner and supervisors, revise maintenance planning procedures in conformity with maintenance best practices and enforce the Maintenance Planning Procedures
• Ensure all Transformers and Overhead lines are inspected as per 52 Weekly Plan
• Define and review Maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for evaluation of maintenance performance
• Comply and attain Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Maintenance KPIs
• Plan, organize resources, direct, monitor and control the utilization of maintenance resources to achieve the desired equipment availability and reliability.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual maintenance report.
• Ensure compliance with all SHEQ standards.
• Perform any other duties lawfully assigned to you by your supervisor.

(e) TENURE
The position of Principal Engineer - Maintenance is on Permanent and Pensionable basis.

(F) REMUNERATION
The position is on Management Level ML5.
