JOB DETAILS:
JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTS CLERK – (2 POSITIONS)
PURPOSE: Responsible for facilitating the process, maintenance and custody of primary records of financial transactions for receipts and payments .

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Receives all relevant source documents for payment processing.
• Verifies all relevant source documents for completeness, accuracy and validity for payment
• Prepares payment vouchers and ensures proper vouching and coding of the transactions
• Undertakes daily banking of all cash and cheque collections;
• Collects bank statements to facilitate preparation of bank reconciliation statements.
• Provides input for the preparation of financial reports and/or returns.
• Maintains records of creditors, debtors and supporting schedules of payments
• Maintains a proper filing system to facilitate storage, reference to and/or retrieval of documents.
• Participates in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual operational performance reports

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Grade 12 certificate or its equivalent;
• ZICA Technician, ACCA II or CIMA II or its equivalent;
• Minimum of one (1) year relevant work experience;
• Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
