It operates an underground mine in Nampundwe, a refinery in Kitwe, and a crushing & milling plant, a tailings leach plant and a state of the art smelter in Chingola. To support this vision KCM SmelterCo Limited would like to recruit experienced and qualified individuals for the above position at Nkana Refinery and Nampundwe Mine.

Job Purpose
Carry out boiler making works involving repairs, maintenance, construction and installation of plant, equipment and machinery

Main Roles & Responsibilities will include:
• Carry out heavy fabrication and welding works in order to produce various components of plant equipment and other steel structural fabrications
• Carry out planned and breakdown repairs on truck bodies and frames, loader buckets, skips and cages, loading boxes, tips and other underground mining steel structures to the required standard.
• Any other boiler maker duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Craft Certificate -Boiler Making
• At least 3 years practical experience
• Innovative, self-starter and good team player
• Ready to work odd hours whenever need arises
• Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: Professional Certificate
