JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
To assemble meal trays and load/offload catering (food and equipment) onto a truck and drives the truck to various types of aircraft. To drive other designated vehicles for the purpose of delivering catering and related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
• Loads and unloads all equipment on trucks and designated vehicles.
• Checks to ensure the correct number of trolleys and cabinets to be delivered before loading.
• Fills in pre-trip inspection form/Calypso & perform mandatory safety checks of the vehicle for each shift.
• Ensures the loading of the products into vehicles is done according to galley plan.
• Ensures all items are delivered on time for each flight.
• Communicates to supervisors and dispatcher for all items related to the job, including to provide updates and issues on whereabouts.
• Drives light and heavy vehicles while respecting traffic regulations.
• Secures all products before delivery to the aircraft/other sites by sealing material in the truck.
• Maintains clean working area, clean loading docks, and clean equipment.
• Cleans the vehicle and the area around the dock after each shift.
• Maintains proper compliance with general manufacturing practices.
• Visibly wear Newrest uniform, including safety vest, work boots, and badge.
• Fill various security documents and certificates related to safety and HACCP.
• Installs protective devices, such as bracing, padding, strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
• Follows all procedures for health, safety, and security.
• Properly utilizes and complies with all relative technology provided to complete daily functions.
• Follows all current and new operation procedures.
• Any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Minimum Qualification and Experience
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Valid C1 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar environment.
Attributes and Skills
• Proven experience in driving and vehicle maintenance.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Familiarity with basic administrative tasks.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
