KCM SmelterCo Limited a subsidiary of Konkola Copper Mines Plc (KCM Plc) is one of the largest copper and cobalt processing companies in Zambia. It operates an underground mine in Nampundwe, a refinery in Kitwe, and a crushing & milling plant, a tailings leach plant and a state of the art smelter in Chingola. To support this vision KCM SmelterCo Limited would like to recruit experienced and qualified individuals for the above position at Nkana Refinery and Nampundwe Mine.

Job Purpose
Drive and take care of all aspects of vehicle maintenance.

Main Roles & Responsibilities will include:
• Operate light vehicles for the purpose of transporting required materials and passengers.
• Ensure roadworthiness of vehicles, carry out inspections before use and report any defects to relevant officials.
• Enforce safety of passengers on the vehicle
• Ensure that assigned vehicles are well maintained, clean and in good condition for the convenience of the clients.
• Strictly observe traffic rules, regulations and maximum speed limits as prescribed by the company
• Ensure completion of logbook before taking each trip.
• Ensure minimal wear and tear to the vehicle

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Driver’s license – Class “C”
• At least five years of driving experience
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Innovative and able to act strategically
• Must be of sober character & Self-disciplined.

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: Professional Certificate
