JOB DETAILS:
Mopani Copper Mines Plc has operations in Mufulira and Kitwe on the Copperbelt Province in Zambia. The Company's success has been as a result of its focused approach to improvement and the mutually beneficia relationship enjoyed with its stakeholders - an important sector of which is its employees.
• The successful candidate will be responsible to inspect, maintain and repair plant equipment (machinery effectively and safely.
• The responsibilities of this role include but not limited to the following:
• Fabricate/weld ancillary equipment such as conveyor and its accessories underground.
• Carry out planned maintenance on equipment. Observe established safety regulations and procedures during work.
• Ensure that tools/equipment used for welding/fabricating is kept in appropriate places after operations.
• To ensure availability of the same for smooth conveying operations underground
• To prevent injury to personnel and safe guard company property Understand daily plan and prioritise work within the authority limits of this role. Any other duties assigned

The candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent Craft Certificate in Boiler making.
• Minimum of 3 years working experience on heavy equipment repair and maintenance Underground working experience will be an added advantage
• Have good oral and written communication skills Be registered with the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
• The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
