JOB DETAILS:
Fountain Gate Crafts & Trades School (FGCATS) will be offering Crafts and Trades courses in Bricklaying and Masonry at Craft Level and Electrical Technology. The School is located along Great East Road about 12 kilometers from the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport roundabout towards Chongwe district.
The Institution invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the following vacancies:
Reporting to: Head of School
Purpose of the position: To Manage the general Accounting and Financing of the Institution
About the candidate: This position requires someone with experience in accounting for donor funds, revenue and general finance usage.
Accountant and Finance Controller

Major Tasks:
• Put in place accounting process for the institution
• Preparing of accurate monthly reports on Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow results.
• Preparing and supply of operational finance information to the division.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation for ZRA (Income Tax and Value Added Tax etc.) including legislative amendments and industry best practices, as well as proactively advising on solutions to relevant stakeholders in accordance with Policy.
• Prepare the annual audit file for external auditors, various reconciliations and manage external auditor queries.
• Manage internal audit during annual internal audit process.
• Annual budget preparation and reporting

Competencies:
• Degree in Accounting, finance, management or other relevant qualification
• At least ten (3) years of work experience of which accounting was a major component
• Proficient in Accounting packages (Pastel a must + any other relevant package) required with demonstrable experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
