JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE: Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Accountant shall be responsible for the management of financial matters, preparation of financial reports and disbursement of funds.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities will include:
i) Preparation of annual, quarterly and monthly work plans and budgets:
ii) Effective and diligent monitoring of monthly, quarterly and annual budgets;
iii) Maintaining of books of accounts:
iv) Timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with national and international accounting standards:
v) Facilitating annual audit of books of accounts:
vi) Providing timely financial advice to management:
vii) Monitoring expenditure in accordance with financial principles:
viii) Undertaking of revenue/income collection, receipting and timely banking:
ix) Developing, maintaining and controlling of the Asset Register.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
The required knowledge and skills of the candidate include:
QUALIFICATION
a) Minimum of a CA Zambia/ATD/Degree in Accountancy.
b) Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five (5) years relevant working experience:

KEY SKILLS
a) Computer literacy
b) Excellent analytical and computational skills
c) Excellent knowledge of Pastel accounting packages
d) Good Written and Oral communication
