JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join our organization based in Lusaka, Zambia. As the sole accountant in our company, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, conducting financial planning, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
• Conduct regular financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with taxation and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal departments to provide financial guidance and support.
• Assist in the implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes.
• Perform reconciliations and ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist with external audits and support audit processes.
• Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations.

Requirements:
Studying or completed ACCA Part 2 or CIMA/ZICA equivalent.
• Must be registered with ZICA
• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage.
