JOB DETAILS:
Main Purpose
To deliver exceptional customer service, by ensuring on the floor stock availability, and effective service at the till points, thereby creating a positive, lasting impression as the customer leaves the store contributing to increased sales and minimising losses.

• Ensure that the counter is stocked and has visually appealing displays
• Identify and manage all shrinkage hotspots in the department

• Ensure that waste is identified and removed
• Ensure stock rotation disciplines are adhered to
• Knows what new products have come to the department
• Identifies and can explain the features and benefits of products in the department

Personal Leadership
• Identify and co-ordinate all activities that need to be delivered by the hot foods department
• Follow up on all tasks delegated to the hot foods staff
• Assist in the training of staff in the hot foods department
• Plans and co-ordinates team members on all activities that need to be delivered during the day
• Demonstrates self-discipline with regards to attendance, dress code, hygiene and timekeeping
• Facilitate game plan meetings for the hot foods team

Detail orientation
• Follow high risk and low risk disciplines to prevent the contamination of product
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Maintain and complete all documentation i.e. temperature recording, probe and scale calibration
• Ensure that price changes are actioned timeously and that pricing on products is correct
• Ensure that FSC disciplines are adhered to

Job Requirements
Internal
• Grade 12 Certificate,
• Diploma or higher in Food Production
• The ability and flexibility to work different shifts.
• Consistent IPM 3/4 -
• No final written warning on record.

External

• Grade 12 Certificate,
• Diploma or higher in Food Production
• Three references of conduct (work and personal)
• Previous experience in the Retail or Bakery, would be advantageous.
