JOB DETAILS:
Nanga Farms Ltd is a large, irrigated Sugarcane Estate situated 25km Northeast of Mazabuka in the Southern Province of Zambia. The Company is part of the Illovo Sugar Africa Group, and its main activities are the cultivation of 2,860 hectares of sugarcane and the rearing of 1 ,400 head of cattle. The Company employs approximately 1,100 employees at peak season. The company now invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following position:
Job title: Building Charge – Hand
Reporting to the Building Foreman, the success candidate will be responsible for supervising maintenance and repair work under Institutional Houses, Pump Station, Irrigation support structure and Sewage around the farm.

Key Performance areas
• Planning scheduling assigning and supervising and supervising personnel out maintenance works.
• Panning and organizing materials, and tools required for maintenance works.
• Ensuring that all works are done as per schedule.
• Ensuring that all works are done to acceptable engineering standards.
• Supervising and participating in preventing maintenance of the Company infrastructure.
• Able to interpret drawings
• Able to use a dapping level
• Able to understand the fundamental levels of buildings.
• Good readership Skills.
• Adhering to and promoting SHERQ Standards
• Any other duties assigned by the building Foreman

Qualifications & Experience Required
• Full grade twelve certificates.
• Craft Certificate bricklaying and Plastering, a Diploma in Building and Construction will be an added advantage.
• Four years’ work experience will be an added advantage and must be willing to start immediately.
