JOB DETAILS:
Our client, a state-owned enterprise, based in Lusaka, responsible for spearheading the development of Zambia's domestic industrial capacity, creating jobs and playing a critical role in the establishment and sustainability of industries across the agriculture, livestock and forestry value chains, tourism, manufacturing, mining, infrastructure and financial services requires innovative, dynamic, results-oriented professionals with a high level of integrity to fill the above vacant position.

Job Purpose
To oversee and manage the organisation's investments, lead in identifying and structuring investment opportunities and undertake capital and money markets operations. The Incumbent will monitor Investments to ensure that desired returns on Investments are achieved. He/she will set the Investment style and strategy for the organisation, lead and drive the core business of the organisation's investments as well as oversee the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures across all divisions to ensure consistency and quality assurance in all division activities.

Key Result Areas and Principal Accountabilities (include but are not limited to the following
Strategic Planning and Implementation
• Participates in the formulation and review of the organisation's Strategic Plan
• Provides Investment business Input Into the strategic planning and Implementation process
• Develops the organisation's Investments Division strategy In compliance with the Group Strategy by aligning to the corporate strategy, vision, mission, and values to optimise productivity.
Investment Strategy and Policy
• Creates new strategic and tactical investment ventures and identifies the best execution methods for those Investments
• Recommends Investments, monitors the performance of the Investments, ensuring that the organisation's objectives are met and the strategic and financial goals achieved

Departmental Planning and Budgeting
• Increased financial resources for organisation investments and capitalization of subsidiaries
• Improved financial sustainability/Resource Mobilization
• Increased Private Sector Participation

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Full Grade Twelve School Certificate
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance; Investments and/or professional qualification in ACCA; CIMA; CA
• Master's Degree in Investments; Business Administration, Finance. Professional Membership with the relevant professional body
• CFA is added advantage and desirable
• 15 years' post qualification work experience (after first Degree)
• 10 years' experience at senior management level in Investments or Financial markets.
