JOB DETAILS:
Commercial Accountant – Ndola based for FMCG Client ( 30k Kwacha per month)

There is one good opportunity for Commercial Accountant role with our FMCG Client based in Ndola, Zambia.

To conduct analysis and modelling of the commercial elements of an organisation’s finance function, Cost and profitability forecasting, budgeting and advising management on key decisions.

Required Qualifications
Degree /Master Degree in, Commerce or ACCA related business qualification.
At least 10years’ work experiencein managing systems, Map client business requirements, processes, and objectives; develops necessary product modifications to satisfy clients’ needs

Responsibilities:-
Financial Analysis.
• Prepare business cases for projects that are key to the operational plan of the company- engage with relevant executives and agree on deliverables.
• Define and coordinate the development of financial models incorporating key activity drivers that substantiate financial results (income, investment, expenses, cash flow etc).
• Working proactively with senior leadership to complete thorough financial reviews of commercial contracts (link between traders and finance)
• Analysing costing information to enable the business make correct pricing decision
• Reviewing sales and marketing plans to ensure that strategic business objects are met
• Providing financials insights to the sales and marketing function enabling it make informed business decision (link between finance and sales)
Financial reporting
• Preparing management information for both strategic and operational purposes including strategic financial planning, financial governance and budget monitoring.
• Analysing financial information and commentating on the P&L performance to the senior heads of finance,
• Report on variances between budgets, commitments and expenditure
• Assist with refining and enhancing financial reporting for the organisation
Budgeting and Forecasting
• Provide support to the Budgeting and Forecasting processes, that is submitted to Exco – engage with respective departments in developing accurate forecasts for the company, including analysing local and global industry as well as considering macro- economic factors.
Governance Risk and Compliance Management
• Develop the cost reporting ensuring it meets business requirements adopting a continuous improvement process
• Ensure effective financial controls and assist Finance Controller with closing out audit findings.
• Work with the Finance heads to identify risks and opportunities in reporting
• Completing tasks & reporting within financial deadlines
