JOB DETAILS:
Position: Consultancy
Terms of Reference: Technical supervision of rehabilitation of primary school in Maheba Refugee Settlement.
Short Background
In 2020, People in Need (PIN) engaged in rehabilitation of four primary schools in Maheba refugee settlement. While majority of works are completed, one of the buildings requires further rehabilitation. PIN is looking for a qualified consultant who, will re-assess the technical status of the building and prepare documentation for procurement. The consultant will provide regular supervision of the construction works and ensure close coordination with local authorities and communities. .

Key tasks:
• Re-assess the technical state of the building to the school
• Prepare blueprints, Bill of Quantities, Scope of work, work schedule and other technical documentation
• Provide technical inputs during the evaluation of bids.
• Undertake on-site regular monitoring once work commences
• Regularly liaising with PIN Head of Programmes and/or Country Director as well as external stakehlders (COR, DEBS/ MoE)
Expected Deliverables:
• Report stating the extent of required rehabilitation in the building
• Blue prints, Bill of Quantities, Scope of Work, Work Schedule
• Periodic site monitoring reports
• Final/end of task report
Duration
• The expected duration to perform the above works and tasks is from 15th February to 30th May 2021.
Logistics
• PIN will cover all costs related to the assignement incl. transport and accomodation.

Qualification requirements
• At least five years of solid experience in the construction industry (site supervision experience is a must)
• Minimum of a Bachelor in Civil Engineering froma reputable institution
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Team player and strong communication skills.
