Title: Consultant - Education Adviser-Empowerment and Development for Girls Education (EGDE) Zambia
The British Council in Zambia is seeking to recruit a full time Consultant - Education Adviser for the EDGE programme development diplomacy component. The EDGE development diplomacy component will focus on working with the Government of Zambia (GRZ) and its cooperating partners to achieve more effective and equitable secondary education with the Zambian context. Currently fewer girls than boys attend secondary level education and large Sections of rural communities are unable to access secondary schools.
The post holder will:
• lead the delivery of the EDGE development diplomacy component in the Ministry of Education with the focus on girls accessing quality education in Zambia
• lead a small team of short-term policy/technical experts to generate and share evidence of what works from within Zambia and manage a platform on girl’s education and public financing, to ensure best practice is developed and embedded into GRZ and cooperating partners' programming.
• Work effectively and diplomatically with all levels of Government and with the broad cross section of education stakeholders
