TENDER NO. ZRCS/MOFA2/FACV/2024 CONSULTANT TO CARRY OUT A FIXED ASSET CODING AND VALUATION EXERCISE AT ZRCS HEADQUARTERS AND SELECTED BRANCHES/BUSINESS UNITS

Zambia Red Cross Society (ZRCS) has initiated and implemented various initiatives to help put the NS on a more viable and sustainable footing. With support from various partners especially from the IFRC and the Netherlands Red Cross (NLRC), the NS has initiated new IGAs, developed its operational and accounting systems, and developed its Branch and leadership structures all in pursuit of its financial sustainability goals.

The NS wishes to engage the services of a capable consultant to value and code all its assets at head office and at one of its principal branches in Ndola and the Henry Dunant Lodge in Livingstone, Southern Province business unit. The main purpose of this exercise is for the NS to have an updated register for all its fixed assets at the earmarked locations and to develop a coding system for such assets so as to enhance their traceability and management.

2.0       Objectives of the verification exercise

The main objective of the coding and valuation exercise is to have updated values for the NS’s assets and develop a coding system to enhance their management and traceability. Other specific objectives will include:

• To ensure that ZRCS’s assets in the earmarked areas are well documented
• To incorporate all assets in earmarked areas into the NS ‘s financial system
• To enhance the image and viability of the NS to its stakeholders
