• Vivo Energy Zambia is looking to recruit for the position of Depot Operator to be based in Lusaka

Job Purpose
• To ensure the smooth loading, offloading, and distribution of petroleum products, while strictly adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Principal Accountabilities
• Load and offload petroleum products to and from tankers, and storage facilities.
• Ensure that the correct product, quantity, and quality are transferred during loading and offloading processes
• Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions to minimize hazards and potential risks.
• Promote a safety culture among Depot contractors.
• Ensure the maintenance of product quality standards during all loading, storage, and offloading processes.
• Perform routine quality checks on petroleum products to confirm compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of depot operations, including stock levels, loading details, and product movements.
• Prepare and submit operational reports and documentation to relevant stakeholders as required.
• Assist in the routine inspection and maintenance of depot equipment.
• Interact with customers, transporters, and suppliers professionally and ensure a positive customer experience during product loading and offloading.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience/Skills
• Minimum of a Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Full Grade 12 Full.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in depot operations, preferably in an oil marketing company.
• Knowledge of off-loading & loading product.
• Basic computer skills.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Team Player.
• Proactive and self driven.
