Expanded Church Response (ECR) is a faith-based organization implementing: Orphans and Vulnerable Children, Gender Based Violence and HIV/AIDS programs amongst others to mitigate human suffering and bring transformational development. ECR has implemented programs funded by USAID, European Union, UNICEF, and Global Fund either directly or through a range of highly regarded local and international organizations. Working with partners like these, the private sector, and government, we are seeing communities awakened to new ways of improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable, and rise up to be the key to their own transformation.
POSITION: Deputy Chief of Party
LOCATION: Lusaka
REPORTS TO: Chief of Party .
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reporting to the Chief of Party, the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) is responsible for overseeing all programming, including ensuring the technical quality of services.
• The DCOP works with sub-partners to decide on targets, oversees the development and execution of community action plans, monitors the implementation of the work plans, works with the COP to facilitate operational capacity building initiatives, directly facilitates technical capacity building, and supports coordination with local government and other key partners.
• The DCOP directs and supervises senior program staff and consultants.

Key Qualifications
1. Masters Degree in social sciences, public health, or any related field equivalent in formal or informal training
2. Strong experience working with HIV/AIDS/OVC programs.
1. Over five (5) work experience years of experience in HIV/AIDS and OVC community-based development programs.
2. Dynamic, able to work on multiple tasks and execute them promptly, to completion with high quality.
3. Modern and exemplary leadership and inspirational in having hands-on, robust, quality engagement in the “trenches” where they delegate responsibilities.
4. Wisely delegate responsibilities with an awareness of the workload and needs of the staff under them, so as to avoid low morale, burnout, and ultimately attrition
5. Innovation in planning process, monitoring, evaluation, operational research and report writing
6. Speed assimilation of project activities and strategies
7. Good communicator in local languages in Zambia 8. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
9. Strong teamwork skills.
10. Willingness to travel extensively within the country and work long hours.
11. Computer skills inclusive of database development and management.
12. Christian commitment and compassion.
