The Internship
Global Health Corps seeks an intern to join us to support the work of our development team. We are looking for strong communicators with an excellent orientation to detail, an ability to take initiative, and a passion both for health equity and the power of communication.
The Development team manages all of our fundraising efforts for Global Health Corps, from identifying new prospective donors to cultivating and stewarding current donors. As our intern, you will support and gain experience in the day-to-day operations of non-profit fundraising, including donor meeting preparation, prospect research, database management, and event-planning and coordination. We’re looking for someone who has strong attention to detail, takes the initiative, is interested in learning about non-profit development, and has a passion for social justice and health equity.
You will report to the Development Coordinator and work closely with the full Development team. As an integral member of the Development team, the Development Intern will support development staff and own projects throughout their time as a member of our GHC team.

Projects and Responsibilities
o Ensure maintenance of prospect pipeline database, identifying, researching, and qualifying prospective funders, including corporations, foundations, and individuals
o Update constituent records in Salesforce database and execute database hygiene projects
o Assist Development and Communications team’s planning of virtual and in-person events
o Prepare thorough meeting briefings on donors and prospective funders for CEO and GHC Staff

Qualifications and Experience
o Holder of an undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in an undergraduate university
o Strong task management skills with an ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
o Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining attention to detail
o Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
o Previous experience in fundraising is preferred, but not required
o Demonstrated analytical and writing skills in gathering information and presenting the research in meetings or in written briefs
o Experience gathering information and data on topics or individuals, such as drafting briefs, reports
o Penchant for sustaining and/or improving systems
o Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems
o Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, and Google applications
o Passionate about social justice and health equity issues and genuinely excited about the movement that GHC is building
