JOB DETAILS:
Nkana Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited is a Commercial Water Utility providing Water and Sanitation services to its customers in Kitwe, Kalulushi, Chambishi and Lufwanyama.
In its quest to improve service delivery, the Company seeks to employ a suitable, highly motivated and goal oriented professional to fill the position of DIRECTOR ENGINEERING.
This is a Senior Management Position reporting to the Managing Director.
1.0 Job Purpose
To manage the provision of safe water and sanitation services and maintenance of infrastructure in order to meet customer needs and comply with environmental regulations.

Job Accountabilities
• Effectively manage the development, review and implementation of technical policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manuals in order to guide the operations of the Directorate.
• Effectively manage the operations of the water production and water supply network in order to provide adequate and consistent safe water.
• Effectively manage the operations of the sanitation services in order to protect the public and the environment.
• Effectively manage the installation and maintenance of meters in order to monitor consumption and facilitate billing of customers.
• Effectively manage the maintenance of plant, equipment, infrastructure and motor vehicles in order to maintain availability, utilisation and prolong their lifespan.
• Effectively manage the monitoring of water production quantities and distribution in order to identify discrepancies and implement remedial measures to reduce non-revenue water.
• Ensure timely implementation of performance management systems in order to monitor and evaluate performance and ensure attainment of objectives.
• Effectively manage the utilization of human, financial and material resources in order to ensure attainment of departmental objectives.
Qualification And Experience
• Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent
• A Master degree in either Business or any relevant field will be an added advantage
• 10 Years’ Experience, 5 of which should be at senior management level
• Experience in the water sector will be an added advantage
• Member of Engineering Institution (MEIZ) and Registered Engineer (REng)
