JOB DETAILS:
• StarLabs Limited, a dynamic and fast-growing Zambian ICT Managed Service Provider (MSP), is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Operations. This is a senior leadership role for the SADC region that encompasses driving operations, business development, and client expansion across various sectors, including public sector, financial services, and telecommunications.

Responsibilities:
• Act as the company’s main adviser on all issues relating to operational functions and keep abreast of latest developments to ensure that the company maintains its competitive position
• Lead and oversee operational activities, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of ICT services, cybersecurity solutions, and equipment sales to clients.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and build corporate capabilities expand existing accounts, and penetrate new markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities, conduct market research, and develop innovative strategies and service offerings to increase market share.
• Manage and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the company.
• Direct actions across an organization and direct managers to improve efficiency and reduce costs as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is strongly desired.
• Proven track record of success in technology leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in ICT operations.
• Strong understanding of ICT and cybersecurity, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing ICT projects and solutions.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve targets and deliver exceptional client experiences.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and represent the company in a professional manner.
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to identify market trends, evaluate competitive landscapes, and develop effective strategies.
