JOB DETAILS:
The Operations Team is looking for a vibrant and energetic team player to be a part of an exciting and fast paced environment.

Roles and Duties
• Reporting to the Leaf Operations Site Manager with a dotted line to the EHS Manager, the EHS Supervisor will be responsible for
• Conducting regular EHS risk assessments for the site, tasks and projects to identify hazards and ensure compliance to JTI EHS Standards
• Compiling and implementing tasks and projects to identify hazards and ensuring compliance to EHS legislation and JTI EHS Standards
• Ensuring all incidents/accidents are reported and investigated according to the JTI procedure as well as implementing corrective and preventive actions
• Planning and carrying out regular site inspections and internal audits to ensure compliance to EHS programs and safe work operating procedures and make recommendations to improve EHS compliance and performance
• Coordinating EHS Inductions for seasonal employees/visitors and work closely with the Site Managers and other departmental colleagues to ensure permanent and temporal contractors undertake their work in accordance with JTI EHS Standards
• Ensuring that safety meetings are held on site and support the Site management with preparation of material/information for EHS meetings
• Initiating and making follow up action related to the regular maintenance, repair of all Site vehicles, motorcycles and equipment, as well as prepare period reports on the running costs for review by Management
• Support Site Management with daily management of Manned Guarding Services contractor, playing key role in investigations of all security breaches for the Site office and inspecting security systems and installations
• Support Site Management with elements of Quality Management Systems related to quality objectives within area of responsibility

Education
• Degree in Occupational Health, Safety and/or Environmental Management
• Experience
• 3 – 4 Years’ experience similar position
• Working knowledge in Agribusiness Environment or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Industry would be an added advantage
• Language & Computer Skills
• Fluent written and Spoken English (Speak, Read & Write), any local language would be an added advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
