Education and Membership Officer
Background The Zambia Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (ZCILT) is a professional body established by Act No. 4 of 2014. The mandate of the Institute is to regulate the practice of logistics and transport, and to promote, encourage and coordinate the study of the science and art of logistics and transport in Zambia.
ZCILT is an equal opportunity employer and in the quest to improve service delivery, the Institute hereby invites applications for the position of Education and Membership Officer in the Secretariat, located in Lusaka, Zambia.

Main Job Purpose
Reporting to the DirectorRegistrar, the Education and Membership Officer will be responsible for the management of the Education and Membership Unit and is expected to develop, implement and monitor key education and membership plans, based on Institute priorities, and a developmental agenda for the Professionals in Logistics and Transport

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
• Supports training providers on a range of issues to meet legislative requirements and the Institute’s policies on education, membership of students, accreditation and examination management.
• In collaboration with the Inspectorate Unit, develops and implements membership recruitment strategies, and manages membership applications, renewals and upgrades.
• Assist to organise and deliver in-service trainings and personal employee development programmes.
• Planning, implementing and writing comprehensive reports on all education and membership activities in a financial year.
• Responsible for prudent management of the Institute examinations for students studying professional programmes.
• Responsible for the disciplinary administration for ZCILT Members, in collaboration with the Institute’s Disciplinary Committee.
• Responsible for effective management of the Institute electronic system (e-ZCILT), Website and official social platforms. 8. Ensuring effective communication between Logistics and Transport International bodies (Including CILT International) and ZCILT.

Qualifications and Work Experience
• Full Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent
• Degree in Education or equivalent qualification
• 3 years’ relevant experience
• Technology know-how, with experience dealing with membership, education and examination testing software
• Registered Member of the Teaching Council of Zambia
• Qualification in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) will be an added advantage

Skills and Other Attributes
• Excellent oral and written skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Ability to write comprehensive reports
• Must be computer literate
• Team Player
• Integrity and Confidentiality

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education:
Bachelor Degree
