JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities
• Ensure that customers needs are being met – greeting and checking up on patrons during their visit
• Orders are running smoothly – i.e. no delays in the bar/ kitchen
• Checking up on items low on stock in both kitchen and bar – and then being quick and adaptable to replenish stock if it’s run out or order in more stock
• Restaurant cleanliness – ensuring the floor and surfaces are always neat and clean between servings
• Basic paperwork – on an assistance bases: Stock control (goods receiving) – entering stock into the system, assisting with ordering stock/ and follow ups & entering stock takes
• To offer support and guidance to the team (the team being the: waitresses, barmen, kitchen cooks, scullers, public area attendants (and from time-to-time golf ops)
• Being there to assist the team in:
• Issuing stock/ receiving stock/ purchasing stock
• Resolving issues – i.e. customer complaints
• Assisting on cashups and POS operations
• Ensuring that there is enough stock and change money for busy periods
• Day to day operations of the restaurant: conferences/ functions, golf days, normal restaurant trade etc

Requirements:
• High school diploma, Hospitality certificate, Hotel management or any other suitable equivalent
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other necessary computer programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Either young and energetic straight out of school looking to create experience and start their career
• Should have their own transport and accommodation
• Must be Zambian
• Enthusiastic, dedicated and willing to go the extra mile
• Very flexible, responsible and adaptable
• Energetic – this industry is tough with long hours on your feet and you need to be constantly interacting with people (even when you don’t feel up to it)
• Assertive – to follow out and act on rules and procedures that are put in place to run F&B
