JOB DETAILS:
We are looking for a brilliant General Manager Operations to join our team specializing in Mine Operation for our Mining Business Segment in Lusaka, Zambia
In this role, the candidate have to perform for the following Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities
• Responsible for all operation and legal liaison with concern mining Authorities of Zambia.
• Ensure provisions of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Minerals Act and its regulations (as may be amended from time to time) are implemented and adhered.
• Responsible for Revenue generation and P&L target achievement. Responsible for cost Control and budgeting. Oversee expenses and budgeting to help the organization to optimize costs and benefits.
• Responsible for improvement of health, safety and environment standards
• Coordinating all internal and trade operations, international payment platforms.
• Responsible for implementing and evaluating the business strategy in coordination with Management
• Responsible for Delivery of business and budget plan targets by managing the day-to-day events of the mine.
• Implement new projects as provided in CAPEX budget, arrange all necessary requirements for execution.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation
• Evaluate risk and lead quality assurance efforts.
• Report Periodically on operational performance and provide suggestion for improvements.
• Mentor and motivate team to achieve desired productivity.

Qualifications
• Recognized Degree in Mining Engineering,
• (Additional qualification of MBA Finance or any financial certification program will put advantage)
• Registration with ECSA
• Previous project management exposure
• 10 years’ experience in a mining environment
• At least 3 years’ experience in a senior management role
• Having basic finance & Accounts knowledge

Level of Education: Associate Degree
