JOB DETAILS:
• Job Purpose
The Geophysicist will analyses all geophysical interpretations and identify all potential issues and resolution in process for all complex technical and business issues and coordinate with various departments to prepare schedule for projects. Prepare business proposals, technical reports, maps, target features and identify appropriate locations through regular inspection and assist to complete all production areas and provide required support to special task force

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain integrity of all geophysical data and ensure compliance to all regulations and standards.
• Train all junior geologists and geophysicists and develop plans to enhance various exploration processes for data and coordinate with various departments to ensure completion of work within required deadline.
• Observing the reaction of recording equipment to detect irregularities;
• Using computers for data management, quality control and communication between the office and field locations
• Interpreting and mapping of 2D and 3D seismic data
• Reporting on collected seismic data to the team, clients, senior managers or partners at meetings and presentations
• Writing documentation and work logs
• Designing, testing, modifying and repairing seismic equipment
• Adapting data collection procedures;
• Measuring reservoir volumes
• Pre-planning projects before going on site
• Working closely with a small team of geologists and other staff who may be away in the field or offshore for several weeks at a time
• Compiling charts and reports
• Providing a wide range of geophysical support and technical advice/guidance
• Designing data acquisition plans
• Deciding on suitable seismic measurement and data-processing techniques;
• Taking equipment out to various locations around the world and deploying seismometers;
• Assessing potential oil and gas yield
• Compiling charts and reports
• Administer all geophysical sites through regular travel and ensure achievement of all production goals.
• Design presentations to assist marketing and sales team and interpret all micro seismic data for customers and recommend improvements if required.
Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience or Geophysics.
• Master’s degree in the above fields will be a plus
• Must have proven expertise in GIS
• Must have at least a minimum of 3-4 years of field / project work experience in geology mining is must
• Expertise in sub-field of choice
• Good in data collection and management techniques
• Experience in Mining data analysis
• Excellent Communication skills
