• Symmetric Insurance Solutions Limited (SISL) is a 100% Zambian owned broking Firm, incorporated under the laws of Zambia. The firm offers a range of Life, Medical and General Insurance intermediary services between clients and insurance companies by matching the insurance needs of clients to insurers who have the capability of meeting those needs. The Firm exists to help the Zambian Insurance market operate more efficiently by reducing the information asymmetries between insurers and buyers that can cause adverse selection.
• Job Tittle: Graduate Trainee: Office Manager- 18months Program.
• The firm is looking for a person with unique skill set. A Graduate Trainee-Office Manager. This person should have an Accounts degree or any Business-related course with Finance. They should also be passionate about business operations. The Graduate Trainee-office manager will be responsible for managing the firm’s Admin, Finance and Operations of the firm.
• The goal of the office manager is to ultimately ensure that the firm is
offering quality and dedicated services tailored to the client’s and partner’s needs.
Duties and responsibilities; Managing/ overseeing.
• Finance and Admin (Banking, withdraws, receipts, reconciliations, petty cash, Credit Control,
maintaining company’ monthly management accounts, interface with Auditors, ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies).
• New business acquisition.
• Renewal business placement.
• Underwriting processes.
• Claims Management and processing.
• Customer Relationship.
• Establishing strong business relations with insurers.
• Supervising the Assistant Brokers
• Managing the Firms calendar
Qualifications
• Grade 12 Certificate with 5 Credits or Better
• Degree in Accounts or any Business-related course with Finance
• Must be a member of ZICA at any level.
• Computer literate and ability to use accounting packages.
• A minimum of 1 year post experience in a similar position.
• Ability to work under pressure, solve problems and achieve deadlines on time.
• One should possess good understanding of all accounting systems and procedures with excellent
• customer service skills.
• Integrity and honesty
• Driver’s license
• Knowledge/ experience in Insurance will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in Insurance is an added advantage
Reporting Structure
• The Graduate Trainee-office manager will report into the Managing Director
