Gym Cashier
The successful candidate will ensure exceptional customer service and smooth financial transactions at the gym. Responsibilities include handling payments, issuing receipts, and assisting with membership, service, and retail inquiries. Their friendly demeanor and attention to detail will enhance the experience for gym members and visitors. This role will be reporting to Accountant Non-Core Assets.

Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome members and visitors warmly upon entry.
• Offer information on gym memberships, services, and promotions.
• Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to billing, memberships, and facilities.
• Assist with membership sign-ups, account updates, and cancellations.
• Maintain a professional and friendly attitude to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Process payments accurately using cash registers or POS systems, accepting various forms of payment.
• Issue receipts, balance cash drawers, and reconcile transactions at the end of shifts.
• Follow cash handling procedures and security protocols to prevent discrepancies and theft.
• Maintain a clean and organized cashier station and keep track of retail product inventory.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing paperwork, updating membership records, and preparing reports.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
• Adhere to company policies on cash handling, privacy, and security, maintaining confidentiality of customer information.
• Monitor security cameras and report suspicious activities, staying updated on relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will be required to have:
• Diploma in a business-related course.
• Proven experience in a customer service or cashier role, preferably in a retail or fitness environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using cash registers or POS systems.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar software.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a gym environment with moderate noise levels and temperature variations.
