JOB DETAILS:
Konkola Mineral Resources Limited (KMRL) a subsidiary of Konkola Copper Mines Plc (KCM Plc), is one of the largest copper producers in Zambia. It operates underground and open pit mines located at Nchanga and Konkola. KMRL's growth trajectory presents exciting opportunities to leverage minerals and human resources to enhance stakeholder value and become Zambia's pride. To support this vision KMRL would like to recruit an experienced and qualified individual for the following position in the Trust School Department KMRL operates two Trust Schools in Chingola and Chililabombwe, which run from primary to secondary school level with a total number of 2,400 pupils. It also rans an A-level class at Nchanga Trust School. The Company's education interventions comprises among other things, providing scholarships to employees dependents who are A-level graduates from its Nchanga Trust School to study in core mining operation programs and in also other disciplines such as Mining, Geology, Metallurgy, Engineering and Medicine at local and foreign Universities. It also has a separate scholarship program for pupils in government schools. To support this vision KMRI would like to recruit a qualified and experienced individual for the position above

Position PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure acceptable functioning and performance of the Languages Department through direct interventions, planning, monitoring, supervising and giving guidance to subject teachers.

MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To co-ordinate and supervise the work of all teachers in the department, to ensure appropriate schemes of work are prepared and followed and systematic records of work maintained, all contributing to a successful examination record throughout the department.
• To follow his her own teaching program over and above his duties as Head of Department, leading by example in all areas of professional interest particularly in the 'on the job training of subordinates
• To liaise with the Deputy Head Teacher on timetable detail to ensure a fair distribution of teaching load, of effective departmental daily routine and for the proper allocation and use of resources.
• To ensure safety measures are observed where applicable
• To be responsible for the departmental share of the school budget, organizing orders, checking expenditure, maintaining efficient reconds and procedures for stock control
• To monitor student progress through periodic testing and follow-up action as required, and to ensure all necessary preparation is made for the proper conduct of extemal examinations
• To contribute to extra-curricular activities, to non-teaching duties and to the tone and discipline of the school through personal example.
• As a member of the school management team, to advise the Head Teacher on all aspects of school affairs.
• To carry out annual appraisals for all the teachers in the department.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with Education
• Graduate of a reputable University
• Must have evidence of TCZ Registration and Practicing Certificate Minimum of 12 years teaching experience
• Commitment to development and holistic growth of lear
• Excellent communication skill.
• Self-motivated and player Must be computer
