IT Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
• To ensure that the company’s computer network is running smoothly and efficiently, IT assistants shall perform perform an array of tasks.
Installing and Configuring
The IT Assistant shall make sure that computer networks will have to be configured to suit the company’s unique needs. Using standard topologies and network structures. Configuring the servers and maintaining them in good order to avoid HVAC issues.
Setting Up Peripherals
• The IT assistant’s shall be responsible to set up those peripherals and ensure that they are both functional and secure.
Maintaining and Repairing
• IT assistants have to check the company’s network for errors, repair malfunctioning peripherals, and help troubleshoot problems.
• Preparing of Invoices and Purchase Orders
• The IT Assistant Officer shall always prepare purchase orders, invoices to customers and the engineers.
• Keeping Records
• The IT Assistant shall always keep truck records of all transactions, company database server.

Qualifications
• Must Posses Either a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or Any IT Related Course.
• Must Be CISCO Certified.
• Microsoft Certification will be an added advantage.
• Must be a Zambian Citizen below the age of 30
• Must be Male or Female
• Must have experience of working in a busy work environment for at least 3 years .
• Must have experience in networking, configurations and programming.
