JOB DETAILS:
POSITION OVERVIEW
The primary role of the In-Country Resource Gatherer is to collect profiles for the Healing Hugs fundraising product. The role will also work to support the continuity of the program through the collection and documentation of human-interest stories, photos, videos and other activities that contribute to fundraising and brand awareness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• To serve as the focal person for Healing Hugs-related communication and other fundraising activities in-country.
• To capture Healing Hugs profiles of children benefiting from CHAZ hospitals and Integrated Health Centers.
• Working with the Digital Resource Specialist to prepare annual activity plans. • Fulfil monthly and weekly plan-based activities.
• To provide quality, timely and sufficient profiles and resources based on agreed targets.
• To upload profiles captured for Healing Hugs and other resources using the appropriate file transfer protocol proactively.
• To ensure consent is secured and well documented when capturing all Healing Hugs profiles and other resources.
• To ensure profiles, photos/videos and human-interest stories are appropriately secured and stored.
• To maintain inventory of Healing Hugs bears and communicate needs when inventory is getting low.
• To perform other duties as deemed necessary to enhance communication and fundraising activities in the operational areas

BASIC QUALIFICATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
• Educated to Diploma level or above in Journalism, Media and Communication field.
• Strong photography skills are mandatory
• Videography
• Human interest story gathering and writing.
• Knowledge of Adobe suite (Photoshop, Premier, Audition).
