JOB DETAILS:
The Place – We are a reputable corporate- commercial law firm (the Firm) based in Lusaka with a wide array of local and international clients. The Firm undertakes significant legal work within Zambia and across borders which required to be delivered at the highest standard and often under demanding deadlines.
Given that the sensitive nature of the Firm’s work and its pre-eminence in the Zambian legal market, the Firm is required by law and by its clients to keep all of its client and work product data confidential and free from compromise and in a manner that accords with international best practice for the delivery of legal services.
Additionally, the Firm is alive to the imperative to legal service providers to deliver legal services

The successful applicant will be expected to work full time from the Firm’s office in Lusaka.
Main Responsibilities
• Manage technology services that meet operational requirements in designated area(s) of the
Firm.
• Serve as the lead IT liaison with senior administration and Firm staff.
• Direct and coordinate the local implementation of the firm’s IT operations, policies, and programs, ensuring alignment of IT services with the business needs of the area(s) and adherence to established IT and risk management principles and best management practices.
• Conduct weekly back-up of the Firm’s critical data and ensure the Firm’s IT infrastructureiskept safe from cyberthreats and can appropriately withstand such threats.
• Create, maintain and periodically update the Firm’s business continuity protocols includinghandover protocols for the IT department.
• Appropriately document the Firm’s IT architecture
• Reviews vendor contracts and coordinates IT purchases (hardware, software and services) to ensure effective deployment of solutions aligned with user needs.
• Maintaining records of software licenses.
• Deliver appropriate personnel actions and educational and training programs to ensure highquality professional staff performance in the implementation of new policies or programs.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, objectives,short- and long- range IT planning, with an emphasis on advocating for the needs of thearea(s) supported; implements tracking and evaluation programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals.
• Participate in the documentation and implementation of policies and standard operatingprocedures consistent with those of the Firm to ensure effective operation of an organization.
• Participate as a member of the firm’s IT Management Committee in planning and problemresolution and performance review of the Firm’s IT infrastructure.
• Maintain current knowledge of the applicable and appropriate state-of-the-art technologyequipment and/or systems.

Other Responsibilities
• Offer daily operations and systems support to the Firm’s personnel.
• Setting up of computer LAN for new outlet while providing solution to i.t matters concurrently.
• Verify functionality of hardware and software components.
• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
• Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades.
• Restricting access to unauthorized site, downloads and users.
• Setting up accounts for staff, educate them on log in and resolve issues arising.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone.
• Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults.
• Repairing, where appropriate, equipment and replacing parts, checking computer equipment for electrical safety.

Requirements
• BSc in Computer Science or Information Technology
• At least 5 years’ experience in ICT support
• N+, Server+ added bonus
• Knowledge of systems engineering, computer maintenance, server administration, installation, repair and troubleshooting.
• Member of ICTAZ
