Junior Program Officer Rwanda
Contract Fee: from £16,000 per annum gross depending on experience and local market conditions
The International Growth Centre (IGC) aims to promote sustainable growth in developing countries by providing demand-led policy advice based on frontier research.
The IGC is currently seeking a Junior Program Officer (JPO) to be based in Rwanda. The JPO is responsible for the smooth operation of the IGC’s country programme with responsibility for all office activities such as equipment, communications, maintenance contracts, delivery of office correspondence, organising logistics for in-country events, liaising with the IGC Hub in London and also providing research support. The JPO will be based at the IGC Offices in Kigali and will work closely with the rest of the team in Rwanda.
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Economics or Applied Statistics or any related field. Candidates will have proven ability to plan and manage complex administrative activities as well as the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines. They will have excellent written and oral communication skills with a high level of proficiency in English. They must have a robust command of Microsoft office suite, some skills managing social media accounts and basic knowledge in using data analytical soft wares. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with people of various backgrounds and cultures is also essential to the role. Skills in using Stata or other data analytical software is an added advantage.
