JOB DETAILS:
CAREER OPPORTUNITY
The University of Lusaka is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates with a field in accounting to play an important role in the shaping of the future development in the School of Business, Economics, and Management on full-time basis as a Lecturer. The candidate should be highly motivated and passionate about making a mark in the education sector in respect of the following courses;
1) Financial Accounting
2) Cost Accounting
3) Management Accounting

Qualifications
To be considered for these positions one must have the following qualifications;
1. A Bachelor of Accountancy Degree or full ACCA, CIMA and CA.
2. A Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance or equivalent.
3. A Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching/Lecturing Methodology.
4. A PhD in these particular fields will be an added advantage.
5. Five (5) years industrial experience in these fields of study will be added advantage.
6. At least five (5) years’ experience of lecturing at tertiary level.

Summary of Job Responsibilities
1. Provide lectures for the above mentioned courses.
2. Develop and improve course outlines and teaching materials for the assigned courses.
3. Carry out research and publish materials.
4. Supervising both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students’ research work.
5. Prepare lesson plans at the start of each semester for the assigned courses.

Key Qualities and skills:
1. Self-motivated and resourceful with strong intellectual ability.
2. Ability to research and create new knowledge.
3. Should be a goal-getter and a team player.
4. Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
5. Must be articulate and have strong interpersonal skills.
6. High level of planning and organizing skills.
7. Must be familiar with Moodle e-learning platform or other e-learning platforms.
8. Passionate about teaching and research.

Salary Package:
An attractive and competitive package will be offered commensurate with one’s qualifications and experience.
