JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities
• To report directly to the Vice Principal and indirectly to the Senior Lecturer and to work as part of the staff team at the college.
• To adhere to, and assist with the implementation & enforcement of policies and procedures across Mechanics for Africa.
• To instruct students in all aspects of the course that you are required to teach.
• Planning student lessons based on Functional English and Communication Skills knowledge and understanding of curriculum guidelines
• To set and mark assignments as required and to ensure students achieve and maintain the required technical standards.
• Building rapport with students using interpersonal communication skills
• To be willing to attend update courses and instruction as and when appropriate.
• To take part in tutorial groups.
• Using patience and conflict resolution skills to maintain classroom harmony
• To adhere to all academic policies of the college
• Performing updates to hardware, software, networks, and operating systems
• Analyzing student progress based on results of assignments, quizzes, and tests
• During periods when your teaching workload is lighter, which includes when the college is closed for holidays, to carry out other duties as may be required, whilst ensuring that lessons and other academic work is complete.
• To work with professionalism and integrity at all times, and to show the working of Christian values in your life.
• To actively participate in administering spiritual, social and emotional development of students
• It is an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a Christian.

Qualifications
• Minimum Degree in English or related field
• Must be eligible for TEVETA accreditation as a trainer
