JOB DETAILS:
The Golden Valley Agricultural Research Trust (GART) is a Public-Private Sector Partnership Research Institution involved in promoting climate smart agriculture through adaptive and applied research
GART wishes to invite applications for the following vacancy:
LIVESTOCK RESEARCH OFFICER (Re-advertised)

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
• A minimum qualification of a Degree in Animal Science from a reputable institution with at least 5 years industry related experience.
• MSc in Animal science will be an added advantage.
• Have proven experience in conducting adaptive and applied research in smallholder livestock systems
• Practical experience in performing artificial insemination on small and big livestock
• Proven Competence in animal breeding techniques
• Ability to build strong working relations with public and private sector partners
• Skilled in Project Planning
• Must be able to contribute to knowledge transfer through writing of scientific papers, technical reports and implement technology dissemination programmes.
• Should have strong business acumen and be able to work with minimal supervision

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
