Coca-Cola Beverages Zambia (CCBZ) is a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA). It has a license to produce, distribute and market all coke brands in Zambia. CCBZ has three operating sites namely Lusaka West, Maheu and Ndola.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
• The Machine Specialist continuously evaluates the existing process control systems for reliability of control and effectiveness. In fulfilling these roles, the Machine Specialist works closely with team department members, maintenance, and operations.
• Provide day-to-day technical support on process control systems and process control related tasks. Support implementation of new projects by configuring control modules, batch programs, and HMI graphics.
• Responsible for all computer integration of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and process controls.
• Responsible for training of end users on the operations of newly installed or modified process or control systems.
• Responsible for the standardization of control systems and control logic designs, documentation of operation procedures and as-built drawings and logic.
• They will be the plant liaison for new system start up and commissioning by all outside controls contractors and system integrators to ensure proper transfer of documented PLC program changes and adequate training on the installation/changes that have been completed.
• Take part in maintenance planning meeting, contributing suggestions, and clarifying work required
• Carry out work during the planned maintenance window in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule issued by the Planner.
• Complete any administration and SAP tasks in support of planned maintenance periods.
• Optimization of maintenance schedules
• Coach / train Operators on autonomous maintenance tasks
• Perform routine and specialized duties in the repair and maintenance of instruments and controls involved in bringing materials from a raw state to a state that is ready for our customers.

Skills, Experience & Education
• Minimum Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering
• Grade 12 with 6 credits or better
• Minimum of 5 Years relevant experience inmaintenance experience in industrial control system development and troubleshooting.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience or equivalent FMCG experience
Paid up member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ) – Computer literate
