JOB DETAILS:

Reporting to the Chief Standards Officer, the Manager - Quality Assurance will be responsible to coordinate and supervise the development and review of minimum requirements, Tourism and Hospitality Standards in order to make Zambia a more competitive destination.

Principle Accountabilities:
• Coordinates periodically the development and review of minimum requirements, Tourism and Hospitality Standards in order to ensure compliance and competitiveness in the industry.
• Conducts regularly the inspections of tourism enterprises in order to ensure compliance to standards and requirements.
• Undertakes periodically the classification and grading of accommodation establishments in order to ensure uniformity within each category and cater for different segments in the market.
• Undertakes regularly the development, maintenance and publishing of tourism enterprises register in order to facilitate efficient storage and retrieval of information.
• Undertakes regularly tourism standards capacity building programmes in order to ensure adherence to standards.
• Coordinates effectively the implementation of performance management in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance.
• Coordinates effectively management of human, financial and other resources in order to facilitate achievement of set objectives.

Qualifications, Experience and Personal attributes:
• Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management or equivalent.
• 6 years' relevant work experience with 2 years at management level.
• Able to write technical and analytical reports.
• Computer literate.
• Interpersonal skills.
