JOB DETAILS:
Job Description
We are looking for a machine assembler to specialize in assembling and constructing machines or mechanical systems. The job involves being responsible for assembling and aligning machines and installations for maximum operation of machines.

Job Duties
—Assemble, fit and install machinery for cutting furniture and recommend new tools, new techniques and higher standards that will also improve throughput
— Review work orders, specifications, diagrams and drawings to determine materials needed and assembly instructions
—Be deeply involved in machine function testing and know how to re-design/modify the machines in improved or improvised ways. When everything is checked out, perform a final power-on alignment to make sure the accuracy over the full range of motion.
—Conduct routine inspections on machinery and tools to detect and prevent malfunctioning and breakdowns and danger of injury to shop floor labourers.
—Lubricate machine parts to reduce wear and tear and replace worn-out parts to keep machines running efficiently.
—Perform minor repairs, such as tightening or adjusting screws and bolts, rewiring, and replacing wornout belts and filters.
—- Work with workshop labourers and subject matter experts to pull everything together and improve all tooling systems within the system.
—Schedule maintenance and repair work and communicate with supervisors and employees to keep them informed of any issues.
—- Follow safety procedures and protocols, such as scheduled shutdowns, lockout practices, confined space entry procedures, and daily and weekly inspections of equipment.

Requirements
—Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, heavy equipment repair or related field
—Two to three years industrial experience
—Experience in assembling and installing prefabricated parts or components to form subassemblies, mechanical machinery, engines and finished powered motor machines and cutting equipment
