Job description:
Overall Job Purpose
• Responsible for ensuring that materials, equipment, and facilities meet quality standards and requirements.
• They perform inspections, tests, and analysis to detect defects and deviations, and implement corrective actions to maintain safety and product integrity.

Specific Job Responsibility
• Responsible for quality issues arising from HDPE welding and steel welding and collaborated with the maintenance and production team to address internal process issues and implement corrective actions with proper documentation.
• Implement the quality inspection standards on incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections and provide QA inputs to the pipeline installations to resolve quality-related issues at in-process and final inspections.
• Responsible for timely closure of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), non-conformance investigation reports and customer complaints and publishes reports on quality performance
• Lead the QC inspection of parts for conformity in accordance with relevant drawing requirements
• Work closely with other sections to ensure committed schedules are met in a timely and effective manner
• Perform any other duties as assigned

Experience
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 13485 quality systems.
• HDPE welding knowledge.
• 5´s methodology knowledge.
• Root cause analysis methodology knowledge.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in related work.

Qualifications
• Mechanical engineering degree with experience in quality control in a multi-discipline construction environment, preferably with formal training in QC.
• Grade 12 with a minimum of 5 passes
• All qualifications must be certified by ZAQA
