Duty Post: Lusaka
Duration and nature of the appointment: The appointment will be for 2 years, with the possibility of extension based on availability of project funding. .
Job Responsibilities:
• Support the Freshwater and Wildlife Programmes’ existing M&E plans in line with approved WWF Network M&E frameworks (PPMS), in consultation with the Conservation manager, Programme Managers and teams;
• Assist the Freshwater and Wildlife Program Managers during annual and multi-year planning and budgeting processes to strengthen the monitoring plans for individual projects;
• Update and follow the M&E information management system and coordinate with Programme Leads, their teams and project partners for collecting data against agreed Key Performance Indicators;
• Engage with Program teams to collect and manage essential data of their respective projects and ensure quality of data collected;
• Provide feedback to Programme Managers and their teams on projects’ performance based on monitoring data findings;
• Periodically visit field sites for projects in support of Program Managers.
• Assist program Managers in building capacity of teams on planning monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E);
• Assist Program Managers in designing, coordinating and conducting project evaluations (mid-term and end-line);
• Document best practices and lesson learnt; and support Program Managers in promoting a culture of two way learning within their teams, and,
• Support Program Managers in sharing learning from M&E process with the wider team;
• Assist WWF Zambia’s Conservation Manager in tracking, consolidating and uploading/forwarding of project technical progress reports to relevant WWF National Organizations, and WWF International and donors;

Job Qualifications:
• University degree in an appropriate field of management or natural sciences (conservation, environment, natural resource management, forest, freshwater, terrestrial ecology, animal sciences). MSc will be an added advantage;
• Professional training in Monitoring and Evaluation, and some knowledge of project cycle management (i.e. situation/context analysis, conceptual models, theories of change, monitoring and evaluation and exit);
• At least 3 years professional experience in project/programme design implementation and M&E.
• Experience with practical development and implementation of natural resource management and related result-based management oriented monitoring system;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to network and to develop and maintain strong relationships with project staff;
