1.0 LECTURER IN ECONOMICS (1 position)
Job purpose: To produce highly qualified economists.
Main duties: To teach, conduct research and carry out academic related responsibilities.

Job Requirements:
i. A Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (05) credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
ii. An earned Bachelor’s degree in Economics with at least a Merit from a reputable and accredited University
iii. An earned Master’s degree in Economics from a reputable and accredited University
iv. A PhD in Economics will be an added advantage.
v. Proof of research and publications
vi. Functional computer skills
vii. Teaching experience at University level will also be an added advantage.

2.0 LECTURER IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (1 position)
Job purpose: To produce highly qualified mechanical engineers.
Main duties: To teach, conduct research and carry out academic related responsibilities.

Job Requirements:
i. A Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (05) Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language
ii. An earned Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least a Merit from a reputable and accredited University
iii. An earned Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable and accredited University
iv. A PhD in Mechanical Engineering will be an added advantage.
v. Functional computer skills
vi. Proof of research and publications
vii. A fully paid-up member of EIZ with a valid practicing license
Viii. Teaching experience at university level will be an added advantage.

3.0 LECTURER – PURCHASING AND SUPPLY (1 position)

Job purpose: To produce highly qualified purchasing, supplies and chain managers.
Main duties: To teach, conduct research and carry out academic related
responsibilities.

Job Requirements:
i. A Grade 12 School Certificate with 5 Credits or better that must include English Language and Mathematics
ii. An earned Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supply or Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related field with Merit or its equivalent from a reputable and recognized university.
iii. An earned taught Master’s degree in Purchasing and Supply Management or Logistics and Supply Chain Management with research component from a reputable and recognized university.
iv. A PhD in Purchasing & Supply Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Management will be an added advantage.
v. Functional computer skills
vi. Proof of research and publications
vii. A fully paid-up member of a relevant professional body with a valid practicing license
viii. Teaching experience at university level will be an added advantage.

4.0 LECTURER IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (1 position)
Job purpose: To produce highly qualified human resource practitioners.
Main duties: To teach, conduct research and carry out academic related responsibilities.

Job Requirements:
i. Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
ii. An earned Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management with at least a Merit from a reputable and accredited University
iii. An earned Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from a reputable and accredited University
iv. A PhD in Human Resource Management will be an added advantage
v. Functiona1 computer skiIIs.

viii. Possession of a valid practicing licence from the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management

5.0 LECTURER IN GEOMATIGS AND SURVEYING (1 position)
Main duties: To teach, conduct research and carry out academic related responsibilities

Job Requirements:
i. A Grade 12 Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
ii. An earned Bachelors’ degree in Geoinformatics/Surveying/Geomatics Engineering with at least a Merit from a reputable and accredited University
iii. An earned Masters’ of Science in Geoinformatics from a reputable and accredited University
iv. A PhD in geoinformatics or related field will be an added advantage.
v. Functional Computer Skills
vi. Proof of research and publications
vii. Teaching experience at University level will also be an added advantage.
viii. Professional registration with any relevant professional body

6.0 LECTURER IN PHARMACY PRACTICE (1 position)
Job purpose: To produce highly qualified pharmacists.
Main duties: To teach, conduct research and carry out academic related responsibilities.

Job Requirements:
i. Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
ii. An earned Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with at least a Merit from a reputable and accredited University
iii. Master of Science degree in Pharmacy Practice, Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Master of Science degree in Health Economics from a reputable and accredited University
iv. A PhD in relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
v. Functional computer skills
vi. Proof of research and publications
vii. Teaching experience at University level will also be an added advantage.
viii. Possession of a valid practicing license from the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)

7.0 LECTURER IN PUBLIC RELATIONS AND JOURNALISM (1 position)
Job purpose: To produce highly qualified public relations managers and journalists.
Main duties: To teach, conduct research and carry out academic related
Responsibilities.

Job Requirements:
i. A Grade 12 School Certificate with 5 Credits or better that must include English
Language.
ii. An earned Bachelor’ degree in Mass Communications or Journalism with Merit or its equivalent from a reputable and recognized university with at least 2
iii. An earned taught Master’s degree in Mass Communication or Journalism with research component from a reputable and recognized university
iv. A PhD in Mass Communication or Journalism will be an added advantage.
v. Demonstrated potential to conduct research and to publish.
vi. Functional Computer skills
vii. A fully paid-up member of a relevant professional body with a valid practicing license
viii. Teaching experience at university level will be an added advantage.

8.0 LECTURER IN OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGY (1 position)
Job purpose: To produce highly qualified medical doctors.
Main duties: To teach, conduct research and carry out academic related responsibilities.

Job Requirements:
i. Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English
Language and Mathematics.
ii. An earned Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a reputable and accredited University
iii. An earned Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology Degree from a reputable and accredited University
iv. Functional computer skills
v. Teaching experience at University level will also be an added advantage.
vi. Proof of research and publications will be an added advantage.
Vii. A PhD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology will also be an added advantage
viii. Possession of a valid practicing license from the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)

9.0 LECTURER IN INTERNAL MEDICINE (1 position)

Job purpose: To produce highly qualified medical doctors.
Main duties: To teach, conduct research and carry out academic related responsibilities.

Job Requirements:
i. Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
ii. An earned Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a reputable and accredited University.
iii. An earned Master of Science in Internal Medicine degree from a reputable and accredited University.
iv. Functional computer skills.
v. Teaching experience at University level will be an added advantage.
vi. Proof of research and publications.
vii. A PhD in in Internal Medicine will also be an added advantage.
viii. Possession of a valid practicing license from the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)

10.0 SENIOR ICT INFRRSTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (1 position
Job Purpose: To head the infrastructure development section, design, plan and implement the University’s network and server infrastructure.

Job Requirements:
i. A Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (05) credits that must include Mathematics and English Language
ii. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and six years of hands-on work experience
iii. A Master’s degree of Science in Computer Science or Information Technology with four years of work experience
iv. Various professional certifications in ITIL, MTA, COBIT, MCSA, CGIE will be an added advantage.
v. Thorough understanding and hands on experience in computer networking, such as VLANS, MPLS, RIP, OSPF, BCP, IGP
vi. Experience with design and implementation of Linux/Unix and Microsoft Windows server systems
vii. Experience with software such as IPtables, Squid, Radius, Apache, Samba,
LDAP, Asterisk, PRTG, Nagios, Active Directory, Bind, OpenVPN
viii. Basic programming knowledge (PHP/Java)

11.0 NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR (1 position)
Job Purpose: To design, develop and maintain the university computer network on all layers.

Job Requirements:
i. A Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (05) credits that must include Mathematics and English Language
ii. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with four years of hands-on work experience
iii. Professional certifications especially in CCNA and CGNP
iv. Experience with the setup of various networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls)
iv. Thorough understanding and hands on experience in computer networking, for example VLANS, MPLS, RIP. OSPF, BGP, IGP
v. Excellent troubleshooting skills
vi. An understanding of LDAP/AD, Radius and 802.1X
vii. Hands on practical knowledge in configuration of Network equipment
viii. Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of physical network infrastructure (installation of cabling, patch panels, trunking etc.)
ix. At least 4 years practical experience as a Network Administrator or similar position

12.0 PLATFORM TECHNICIAN (1 position)
Job Purpose: Responsible for updating existing ICT platforms and services in ihe university.

Job Requirements:
i. A Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (05) Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language
i. A minimum of a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
ii. Basic programming knowledge (PHP/Java)
iii. Knowledge of Database Management systems.
iv. Knowledge of Windows systems
v. Organized worker, capable of multitasking various responsibilities.
vi. Basic networking knowledge
vii. Good troubleshooting skills
viii. At least 2 years practical experience as an ICT platform technician or similar function

13. 0 ICT TECHNICIANS (3 positions)
Job Purpose: Implement existing systems to ensure the smooth operation of the user ICT equipment.

Job Requirements:
i. A Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (05) credits that must include Mathematics and English language.
ii. A minimum of a degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
iii. Knowledge of Windows systems
iv. Basic knowledge of domain controllers, roaming profiles, network shares etc
v. Experience in setting up Microsoft Windows (7,8,10 etc.)
vi. Experience with internal computer components (assembling computers)
vii. Basic networking knowledge (cabling, ping, traceroute, DNS resolution etc.)
viii. Experience with setup and Maintenance of printers
ix. At least 2 years practical experience as an IGT support technician or similar position

14.0 STUDIO TECHNICIAN (1 position)

Job Purpose: To design, plan and maintain the equipment and recording studio.

Job Requirements:
i. A Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (05) credits that must include English Language and Mathematics
ii. An earned Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Electronics, Telecommunications, ICT with at least a Credit from a reputable and accredited University
iii. At least two years of post-qualifying experience

15.0 GEOMATICS AND SURVEYING TECHNICIAN (1 position)

Job Purpose:
• To plan, organize and demonstrate laboratory practical sessions for undergraduate engineering students.
• Collect research data and assist in data analysis for ongoing research projects.
• Develop and maintain laboratory manuals and reports.

Job Requirements:
i. A Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (05) credits that must include English Language and Mathematics.
ii. A Diploma in Geomatics Engineering or Engineering Survey or its equivalent from a reputable and recognized university.
iii. A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in Geoinformatics,
Geomatics, or related
iv. Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
v. At least two years of post-qualifying experience
