JOB DETAILS:
The role of the National Media Advocacy Coordinator is to support the development of and in collaboration with program teams coordinate the implementation of communications, advocacy and campaign strategies, media engagement plans, digital and social media strategies, visibility and communications plans for programs and building Share Vision Network’s brand.
Draft, design, distribute and follow up media releases and letters, and visibility and communications products including reports and newsletters. Prepare key messages, representing SVN on TV, Radio, Newspapers talking points and question and answer documents
The post holder will work to ensure compliance with government requirements on campaigns and advocacy initiatives.
The post holder will lead the production and development of communications materials that are necessary for communication with donors, stakeholders, government, beneficiaries, and Share Vision Network staff members. S/he will work on positive media relations with the local media outlets in Zambia, to boost the public profile of Share Vision Network in Zambia, in addition to supporting program teams on advocacy initiatives.

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead on Share Vision Network Alert and global campaign efforts through raising public awareness on the impact of climate change, through leading on the implementation of youth led campaign activities, producing social media materials, supporting programs in the organization of high-level advocacy events and media collaboration
• Coordinate with all Project and Program Managers in planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on campaign initiatives as well as coordination with the program team
• Coordinate with National Program Coordinator in development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of advocacy plans for Zambian country ofoffe
• Work with the MEAL team in communicating the program evidence and best practices to support and inform the implementation of advocacy plan and achievement of program results at scale
• Support Program/Project Managers to plan and utilize advocacy and campaigns budgets.

Communications

• Produce accurate, clear and consistent information and communications outputs that highlight children’s situation and Share Vision Network ’s work in all Communities in Zambia, including case studies, feature stories, and online platforms.
• Produce visually appealing and brand aligned external marketing materials for all sectors and programs, including for fundraising purposes.
• Lead in the development of a social media plan as well as production of multimedia materials, including photos, videos, info graphics, and animation.
• In collaboration with National Program Coordinator, develop specific communications plans for each thematic area and ensure roles and responsibilities for the implementation of the plan is agreed upon and clear.
• Keep all social media and websites updated, including other Province Office sites and all related project sites.
• Ensure high quality internal communications materials across our internal channels. Promote sharing, learning, and interactive dialogue among staff.

Media Engagement
• Actively engage the local media to raise Share Vision Network public profile and spread messages from Share Vision Network that can help communicate relevant messages and gain acceptance from the general public, partners, and beneficiaries
• Produce and ensure the quality of media engagement materials, including media packs, press releases, and information sheets
• Support national and international media engagement in humanitarian crises in all societies
• Lead media field visits
• Obtain approvals for media content as per relevant SVN procedures and protocols, and in line with Zambian laws.

Capacity Building
• Build capacity of program staff to understand advocacy, campaign, and communications approaches, tools, and requirements
• Manage and ensure capacity building of Communications and Advocacy Assistant and/or interns assigned to support advocacy, campaigns, and communications work

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
• Strong experience in leading or implementing strategic communications campaigns.
• Excellent English and Vietnamese communications skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to speak confidently in front of the media, donors, and senior staff
• Ability to deliver key messages to the media
• Good eye for page layouts and design
• Good understanding of social media engagement
• Good understanding of the key components in brand management
• Excellent personal organizational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Experience of working in related human development issues, especially one or more of Save the Children’s sectors (i.e. child poverty, child protection, child rights governance, education, health, and nutrition) an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to field offices and work in the difficult environment according to travel requirements
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization developing effective working relationships to deliver outstanding results
• Commitment to and understanding of Share Vision Network mission, values, and principles including rights based approaches.
• Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and at all levels, to motivate and inspire teamwork.
• Ability, live and thrive in challenging circumstances
• Have a very high level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness
• Experience of working in an emergency setting and,or committed to building that capacity
• Excellent people management and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond effectively to challenges, and work effectively in a cross culture environment.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Arts, Fine arts /International Development/International Relations /Strategic Management/Economics or other relevant field.
• At least 2-5 years of relevant work experience, with at least three years in a senior role in the international development sector.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, networking and communication skills.
• Excellent leadership, coordination and relationship building skills.
• Current knowledge of development issues, strategies, as well as Programming policies and procedures in international development cooperation.
• Proven ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan and execute ideas, as
• Well as to impart knowledge and teach skills;
• Demonstrated engagement with diverse donors and development Partners.
• An effective and energetic team player, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
• Strong self-motivation and innovative skills, with capacity to work
• Independently and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of grant management, monitoring and evaluation practices;
• Understanding of development policy research and issues related to inclusive growth and sustainable development in the developing regions;
• Familiarity with web publishing and interactive social media;
• Working knowledge of Chines /French will be an advantage.
• The position is for an initial fixed-term of two (3) years, renewable based on
