JOB DETAILS:
The position of Network and Software Enqineer is a middle management position and the job holder is responsible for maintaining the Operations (Supervisory Control and Data
Acquisition System) and Information/Communication Technologies for the corporation in line with established standard maintenance routines and procedures, OEM recommendations, relevant law, and industry best practices.
All maintenance of Operations and Information/Communication Technologies shall be aligned to the strategic goals and objectives of the organization. Additionally, the job holder shall be responsible for the development and implementation of Cyber Security strategies for the corporation. The position attracts a management salary scale of KGM6-5.
REPORTING TO: CHIEF CONTROL AND INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE;
• Develop and implement maintenance plans for
• Operations and Information/Communication
• Technologies for the corporation
• Designing and implementing new Operations and Information/Communication Technological solutions and improving the efficiency of current systems.
• Installing, configuring and supporting Operations and
• Information/Communication Technologies equipment including network routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
• (DHCP), SCADA System Severs, Controllers, Operator Stations, and Enterprise Systems etc.
• Procuring Operations and Information/Communication
• Technological equipment to the latest software release
• Information/Communication Technologies.
• Development and implementation of Cyber Security
• Investigating faults in the Operations and Information/Communication Technologies.
• Updating Operations and Information/Communication
• Technological equipment to the latest software releases.
• Preparing estimates for budgetary requirements.
• Prepare reports, capital project justifications, special maintenance work order reports, and initiate procurement.
• Update, develop, and support maintenance procedures.
• Carryout field-testing programs and equipment commissioning as required, including the testing/commissioning of all new Operations and Information/Communication Technologies
• Participate actively and positively in the development and achievement of the Company's goals and objectives.
• Provide emergency after-hours support (call-out) and standby duties as required.

MINIMUM OUAIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer System and Networks Engineering, Electrical/Electronic
• Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University and a minimum of 10,. Years related experience, which includes a minimum of four years field experience directly related to Networks and Computer Software.
• An analytical mind as well as broad and frm technical background pertaining to Networks and Computer Software.
• Mature judgment and the ability to carry out assigned tasks with minimal direction.
• Ability to deal with personnel at all levels with diplomacy, inside and outside the corporation.
• Good knowledge of engineering standards ,and safety standards
• Non-partisan
• Must have commercial and business awareness. Must be a Cisco Certified Network Professional.
• Must be a member of EIZ/CSZ
