Position Overview:
This is a short-term position and will be responsible for the operationalization of the Civil Society Self-Coordinating Mechanism (CSSCM). This will be done through the development of the CSSCM’s strategic and operational plans and accompanying monitoring and evaluation frameworks. The Organization Development Project Officer shall report directly to the CSSCM
Coordinate and answerable to the CSSCM. This position will also be required to provide technical operational guidance through the development of the CSSCM constitution, board charter, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) with CSOs, government and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to operationalize the CSSCM through the development of the constitution and board charter
• Provide technical operational guidance through the development of the Organizational Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) and Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) with CSOs, government and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical support to improve organizational and program management capacity of the mechanism through the development of strategic and operational plans including operational plans and a monitoring and evaluation framework.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in public health.
Skills:
• Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination, and monitoring.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively to the diverse constituencies that the mechanism represents.
• Demonstrated experience in organizational development.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirements:
• High level of integrity, professionalism and ethical conduct
• Willingness to travel to program sites as required.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
