JOB DETAILS:
Purpose
• The Person in Charge will be responsible for the Monitoring of Construction & In-House Maintenance Works to ensure Safety is upheld and standard of work follows approved Building Standards.

Key Responsibilities
• The suitable candidate will be required to adhere to all relevant Requirements, Policies, Procedures and Legal regulations pertaining to Health, Safety, Environment and quality, as well as Finance, Human Resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
• Plan, Implement and Manage Assigned Construction/Maintenance Tasks in accordance with Building Standards Priorities and Goals.
• Manage and Monitor Building Crew Staff Attendance and Work assigned including the allocation and delegation of responsibilities on a Daily Basis.
• Manage and Guide the use of Material, Machinery and Equipment on site on a Daily Basis.
• Responsible for the timely completion of assigned Project Schedules and Reports.
• Maintains positive, can-do attitude with clients, communicating potential problems to the Supervisor or his/her designate.
• Provide Building Costs Estimates as and when required.
• Responds quickly and courteously to Client requests for In-House Maintenance Works, troubleshooting the source of the problem and taking appropriate action to repair and/or restore service by providing quality workmanship within the time standard/KPI established.
• Supervise, train and give feedback to Building Crew staff.
• Other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

Qualifications
• Minimum of a Grade Twelve (Grade 12) Certificate.
• Diploma / Certificate or equivalent in Construction – additional Project Management/Crafts qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience
• A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in the Construction Industry.
• Knowledge of Local Building Regulations.
