JOB DETAILS:

Medzorg Pharmacy Limited, a Lusaka based outfit, wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Pharmacy Cashier.

Job Summary:
The incumbent will be responsible for greeting customers; answering questions and completing transactions at the till; assist in restocking exercises; reconcile sales at regular intervals; and, ensure that the premises are pristine, among other responsibilities. To succeed in the role, the cashier will have to be courteous, friendly and compute sales efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure the pharmacy operating times are adhered to, the pharmacy is clean and hang signs and decorations where necessary.
• Greet customers when they arrive, respond to queries and maintain a friendly and positive attitude to customers.
• Complete customer purchase transactions efficiently and effectively.
• Restock and ensure that items on the shelves are priced and labeled.
• Reconcile sales receipts, and maintain a record of sales as and when a sale takes place.
• Maintain adequate change denominations in the cash drawer.
• Management and reconciliation of Petty Cash
• Report issues with equipment.
• Work as a team to meet the pharmacy sales goals.
• Assist the Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technologist with any other duties.
• Submit weekly reports and perform other responsibilities as and when requested.

Qualifications:
• Grade Twelve school certificate (have credit or better in English and Mathematics).
• Familiar working with electronic systems such as the Point-of-Sale terminal.
• Able to efficiently and effectively compute sales and change.
• Ability to work with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Basic financial knowledge and proven experience as a cashier in a retail pharmacy outlet will be an added advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
