JOB DETAILS:
key duties include:
• Procurement Planning: Developing and implementing procurement strategies to support all the company’s project requirements.
• Tender Management: Coordinating and managing the tender process, including issuing tenders, evaluating bids, and awarding contracts.
• Contract Administration: Preparing, negotiating, and administering contracts with suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
• Supplier Management: Identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and performance.
• Purchase Order Management: Issuing and managing purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with specifications.
• Inventory Management: Overseeing inventory levels, managing stockroom operations, and optimizing inventory turnover.
• Cost Control: Negotiating prices, managing costs, and ensuring compliance with budget constraints.
• Quality Control: Ensuring procured materials and services meet quality standards and project specifications.
• Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with procurement, such as supply chain disruptions or contract non-compliance.
• Compliance: Ensuring procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure procurement aligns with project needs.
• Reporting and Analytics: Providing procurement reports, analyzing data, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Requirements / Qualifications:
• Advanced Diploma or Better in Purchasing and Supply or any related field
• At least Five (5) years of experience in Planning, Procurement in the construction industry.
• Able to analyze market and delivery systems.
• Good exposure of local and international sourcing of products in the Construction industry.
• Experienced in setting up of a functional Procurement Team/Department.
• Establishing work-flows, operating procedures.
• Excellent English language skills
• Proficient in procurement software and systems
• Valid drivers License.
